Cheltenham Tae Kwon Do is run by Mr Paresh Bhadeshia (black belt 5th Dan).
Mr Bhadeshia has been training in Tae Kwon Do for 25 years. He earned his black belt from Grandmaster Hee Il Cho, 9th Dan, one of the leading practitioners and innovators within the martial arts community.
During his years of teaching and studying Tae Kwon Do he has won his fair share of trophies for sparring, destruction and performing patterns (a series of set Tae Kwon Do movements). He is also proud to have instructed over 30 students to Black Belt and his steadfast devotion to his Cheltenham Club has given it an excellent reputation locally and nationally.
When he is not instructing Tae Kwon Do he puts his self-defence skills to practical use as the lead trainer in self-defence within the local police force, where he is also in charge of Public Disorder training (Riot).
Mr Bhadeshia is the Chairman of Global Tae Kwon-Do(GTI) and is actively involved with the national organisations activities.
He officially retired from the tournament scene at the end of the 90's and he now concentrates primarily on teaching at his Cheltenham club. Mr Bhadeshia takes great pride in his club and his tournament successes. Combined with the real life self-defence situations he faces within his job he is able to teach Tae Kwon Do with a background of real experience second to none.
